We’re recruiting a Finance Data Analyst to join our Finance team. This role replaces a traditional Management Accountant position and places a stronger emphasis on data analysis, reporting, and process automation. It is an excellent opportunity for someone at an early stage of their finance career to gain broad, hands-on experience within a supportive and well-established business.

 

This role would suit someone with a background in finance, accounting, data analytics, or a related field, who is confident working with data and enjoys improving how processes work. You’ll gain exposure across core finance activities while developing strong analytical and reporting skills using tools such as Excel and Power BI.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing draft monthly management accounts
  • Supporting budget preparation and monitoring
  • Assisting with payroll, purchase ledger, and expense management
  • Completing National Statistics and other statutory forms
  • Producing and improving finance reports using Excel and Power BI
  • Identifying and supporting automation and efficiency projects within Finance
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Supporting audit preparation and working with external auditors

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills
  • Pays close attention to detail
  • Is comfortable working with large datasets
  • Has an interest in automation and improving reporting
  • Has exposure to Power BI or ERP systems (desirable, not essential)

 

This on-site role offers the following:

  • Annual Salary £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
  • Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am–5:15pm, Friday 8:30am–4:15pm (39 hours per week)
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • On-site parking and access to an on-site gym.
