Since 1922, Hillbrush has been recognised worldwide for its expertise in British brush-making and manufacturing. From our beginnings crafting traditional wooden brushes, we’ve built a reputation for delivering the highest quality products, supported by excellent customer service.
We are proud to hold a Royal Warrant for the supply of brushware to HM The King - a testament to the enduring craftsmanship and reliability of our products. Today, while our Traditional Range remains as popular as ever, we’ve also applied our time-honoured expertise to specialist hygiene equipment for the food and beverage industries. Our ranges are trusted for their durability, compliance, and innovation, setting us apart in a competitive global market.
Alongside this, we supply a wide selection of janitorial and ancillary products, serving councils, commercial cleaners, and businesses that need dependable equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
Our heritage shapes us, but it doesn’t define our limits. At Hillbrush, we honour our past while innovating for the future.
Driving Sustainability in Manufacturing
We recognise the importance of being socially and environmentally responsible - that’s why sustainability is at the heart of our operations.
- 20% of our energy this year has been generated through solar panels
- We’ve been awarded the Certificate of Environmental Achievement by Perry’s Recycling
- We continue to set ambitious targets that go beyond government guidance for a sustainable future
Our journey is ongoing, but the results are clear: greater energy efficiency, greener operations, and a stronger foundation for long-term growth.
Sharing Our Sustainability Journey
As part of our continued commitment to sustainability, last week Hillbrush welcomed representatives from Severn Wye Energy Agency and Clean Earth Energy to our headquarters in Mere. Together, we explored the practical steps manufacturers can take to embed sustainable practices - from renewable energy and solar investment to improving overall operational efficiency.
During the visit, our Managing Director, Charlie Coward, and Head of Product, Matt, shared insights into Hillbrush’s sustainability journey and the progress we’ve made so far. Guests also had the opportunity to tour our factory and solar plant to see these initiatives in action.
Events like this are a valuable way for industry leaders to exchange ideas and learn from one another, driving collective progress toward a more sustainable future.
Looking Ahead
From traditional craftsmanship to modern innovation, Hillbrush continues to evolve with purpose - combining quality manufacturing with environmental responsibility. Our sustainability journey is far from over, and we’re excited to keep leading by example within British manufacturing.
