Graphic Designer Role

Key Role Information

Role Purpose

 

As the Graphic Designer and PR Executive you will be responsible for a variety of design tasks to promote the company and its product lines worldwide.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Liaising with PR and Technical consultants to create content for advertorial and editorial campaigns
  • Writing copy for marketing campaigns and publicity purposes.
  • Development and maintenance of company Product Catalogue
  • Creating and managing the delivery of global print and digital adverts across multiple publications
  • Developing artwork for brochures, flyers and leaflets, exhibition stands, presentations, business cards and other stationery.
  • Creating web banners, email newsletter templates and graphics.
  • Supporting graphic creation for the company website and updating product images.
  • Taking photographs of new and existing products when required and ensuring that these are readily available as both high and low resolution for customers to download from the website.
  • Maintaining graphic archives on the shared drive in an organised manner to allow prompt and easy access to all images and artwork by different departments.
  • Working closely with colleagues involved in cross-departmental projects, such as other designers, copywriters, photographers, contractors and sales staff.
  • Managing the company’s social media presence.

 

Skills and Attributes

  • Relevant qualification in a design/marketing discipline, or relevant industry experience (E)
  • Portfolio demonstrating broad design capabilities across print and digital media (E)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator (E)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy (E)
  • Very good standard of literacy with experience of developing high quality PR material (E)
  • Organisational skills, prioritising and working across multiple projects (E)
  • Strong verbal communication skills for articulating ideas to project stakeholders (D)
  • Ability to work flexibly in a team or independently, as required (D)
  • Consistently delivering a high volume of quality work (D)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines (D)
  • Knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms (D)
