Centenary Charity Day

To celebrate 100 years in business, we are hosting a charity day for the public. This is an opportunity to see behind the scenes at Hillbrush and tour our factory grounds. Our staff will provide insight into the history of the business, machinery and brush making. You will get a chance to see a real working environment in operation and follow the production of our brushes from start to finish.

Cost is £10 pp* and all proceeds will be donated to the Royal Warrant Holders Charity Fund. A discount will be available with each ticket to be used for food & beverage, or in the shop at Visit Hillbrush.

*Please note children under 10 will not be permitted on the tour

Factory Tour Booking

Click the button below to book your 45min factory tour. The tour will be hosted by our Facilities and Manufacturing Team who have knowledge of all departments and will provide you with historical facts and show you the latest innovations.

The tours will end at our visitor centre 'Vist Hillbrush'. Take this time to grab a bite to eat in our restaurant and take a look around our museum to test your new found knowledge of our manufacturing processes.

The tour will include:

injection moulding department
fibre dressing
brush making
warehouse and centenary building
packing and despatch

The tour will cost includes a discount to be used at the Visitor Centre.

The Royal Warrant Holders Charity Fund

The Royal Warrant Holders Charity Fund was established in 1902 to support the charitable activities of Royal Warrant holders.

The Fund donates up to £2,000 to small local charities in which Warrant-holding companies or their employees are actively involved. The donation could be for specific items, activities or projects. Companies can also apply for top up funding, for example if the charity needs £4,000 for an item, both the company and the Charity Fund donate £2,000 each.

Applications are received via Warrant holders from across the country, from Edinburgh to Sussex, and Cornwall to Norfolk.

DIRECTIONS:

From the East

From London/Basingstoke/M3, head west on A303. Do not take the first Mere exit you see; it will take you through the village. Continue on the A303 for about 1.5 miles around the Mere bypass and take the second Mere exit, signposted to Frome B3092/Gillingham B3095. Turn left at the bottom of the slip road towards Gillingham and Mere. Hillbrush will be on the left about ¾ mile down the road.

From the West

Head east on A303 and take the exit towards Frome/Gillingham/Mere/Zeals/B3092 and turn immediately right to continue to follow Signs for Gillingham/Mere. Turn right onto B3092 and Hillbrush will be on the left about 1 mile down the road.

ON ARRIVAL:

When entering Hillbrush, please follow signs to the designated reserved parking to the east of the building. Please make your way to reception where you will be greeted and asked to sign a visitor’s book.
