To brush your horses head, make sure he is in a confined place and then untie him and put the headcollar around his neck. Steady his head with one hand and gently brush the face with the other, avoiding eyes and going gently on sensitive areas. Pay particular attention to the lower jaw, gullet and around the ears. Then use a sponge to gently clean the eyes, and then the muzzle and nostrils. Keep a second sponge to clean round and under the horses dock.
